The Scottish Kilt with Scotland Shop
What We're Learning Today
In this episode, students explore the parts and meaning of the traditional Scottish kilt. With help from Ewan the Unicorn and the team at Scotland Shop, children learn that kilts are more than just clothes — they’re symbols of Scottish identity, history, and pride. We take a playful look at the different pieces worn with a kilt, including the sporran, flashes, sgian dubh, kilt pin, and Prince Charlie jacket. Students begin to understand how clothing reflects culture and how traditions evolve but still connect us to our past.
